Here is my VW Golf mk2 GTI 8V 3 door G-Reg (1990) has MOT & TAX until October 2010, 6 owners since new with just under 204,000 miles on the clock which is good millage for a 20 year old car and has loads of service history and receipts going way back.

This car has been well looked after by myself and previous owners with money no object, and is a great car to drive and hasn't got any weird noises or knocking and also getting 35 MPG out of it on a daily basis.

INTERIOR:
Standard GTI interior and driver seat has had some patches stitched over rips done by previous owner, ripspeed steering wheel, sunroof with no leaks.

EXTERIOR:
Big bumper kit with arch flares, front fogs, smocked rear light, twin headlight grill with eyebrow strip and black VW badge, re-spray about 9 months ago in same colour but with rainbow metal flake in the lacquer.

ENGINE:
1.8 8V GTI engine, K&N filter, 4-2-1 manifold, full stainless steel exhaust system, stainless steel jettex backbox with twin 3" tips, new radiator, rotor arm, dizzie cap, plugs, leads, throttle cable and has just had full service.

CHASSIS:
4x new 40mm lowering springs 4x new crossed drilled and vented disks, all new black diamond pads, 2x new rear calipers, 15" multi spoke alloys, 4x new 195/50/15 tyres done less than 200 miles.

The reason for selling my Golf GTI is wanting a Golf VR6.

Hillman Imp Californian - £1,100.00

My imp is up for sale.. if it sells all well and good but if no one wants it I will just keep it and finish it..

It's a std californian coupe in babypoo brown/gold apart from the 7x13 superlights and the spotlights its std..

Used everyday and hasn't let me down in all weathers 35 mile a day commute and returns between 45 mpg best to around 35 worst..

It is mot'd til july I think but cant find the mot cirtificate atm.. taxed too but then thats free....

There is some rust as you would expect on a car of this age.. worst is the rear arches and corners.. see pics.

There is a bit on the front under corners too and a few scabs here and there.. nothing bad really.

I have a set of imp grp4 fibreglass arches that will go with it if wanted included in the price..

Also have std wheels. and a few little spares including a kingpin kit
a pedal box a few sealed beems, a std carb, a good s/h stearing rack as mine has a the gaitor split.. maybe a few other bits I cant remember....

Plus some tuning goodies that will be offered that are not included in the price as follows:

Sport head not skimmimed and has big valves and is ported with double valve springs..

a twin carb sport intake manifold adapted for su carbs.
a sport cam carrior
a good r17 camshaft
a set of cam folowers to suit
and a set of twin valve springs to suit the r17 cam
also a big bore tubular manifold that I made myself..
also a pair of spacers for the rear of 32mm and a pair of front at 20mm all new with studs...

The car has a split rack gaitor and a worn kingpin. that will need doing for next mot but still drives fine..

Could do with longer studs as the studs do not come through the nuts with the alloys on although have given no trouble...

I have fitted a brand new carb and a new electronic ignition but also have spare new points if you wanted to go back to them..

The battery doesnt like the cold we've had.. works fine if its used everyday but if left for a few days requires a jump..

Don't know what else to say really.. I think its a bargain.. do the little bits to tidy it up and sell it in the summer for a profit if you so wish.. if fact if it doesnt sell here thats exactly what I will do!

Any questions please ask.. I just want something different a viva or chevette would be nice...

Front hubs have been re-drilled to ford 5stud. Narrow english ford axle re-drilled to 5stud. Wheels are centreline type with brand new tyres. Front are 4in with 145,65,15 and rears are 8in with 295,50,15. will require welding to rear arches (see pics) and welding to front wing. Brackets on rear axle will require adjusting to get wheel in centre of arch.(see pic)

Has had a poor repair done to a bash on drivers side wing. Had a ford v6 fitted but this was later removed. original seats. front screen rubber is perished but I will throw in a brand new one. Got current v5 in my name.

Since i last mot`d him i`ve used him for one trip. Does not need much to be a great car as i`ve spent loads over the years.

The good stuff, external paintwork {Black} is original, had a new suspension kit fitted, new clutch{yes manual}, fuel lines replaced with stainless, half stainless exhaust, under 60k miles .

Bad stuff, exhaust starting to blow at join, inner wings could do with T.L.C.{usual}, clean oil appearing in expansion bottle although car running fine {oil cooler?} couple of small dents nothing major.

Car has been shown before at Doune, Callander, Culzean and Billing. Would like him to go to a good home that can bring him back to 100%

Tel: 07989 095193 for any more details, near Kilmarnock.

£2000 with some spares.

Thanks, Rab.

The time has come to release some cash for my new project so my Tina has to go, its had a lot of time and money spent on here, it started life as a 1.6 4 speed carousel with 89k on the clock, but it has had a full metal work restoration with lots of new panels, so there is no rust what so ever on the bodywork!!, she is resprayed MG Green with the door shuts engine bay and other parts black, all lights were replaced, clear side repeaters, and German style smoked rears.

It now has a 2 litre pinto with a 5 speed type 9 box short prop shaft to match, the engine and gearbox have had a full strip and overhaul, paint and rebuild with lots of new parts, and have covered roughly 3000 miles since this.

Underneath it has a full polybush kit and new gas shocks and lowered burton 2" springs, and an Ashley twin box exhaust system, interior wise it has had a new interior, was a messy beige now is Grey cloth still with the plastic seat covers on! it has also had a new dash as the original was cracked, but with silver inserts instead of the wood and the addition of a centre console, and arm rest, i have kept the original dash instruments and rear lights in case they are wanted/needed and will include some spares, good refurbed spare wheel, and original steel wheels with 4 nearly new Pirellis.

This car is a lovely example and has had about 8-9 thousand spent on here

I'm looking around the £5000 mark
